Victoria plc has won the ICAEW's Corporate Development Award in recognition of its fast growth across the UK. The business, which was first backed by BGF in September 2014, supplies carpets and floor coverings and has made five acquisitions in the last two years including the recent acquisition of Interfloor.
The award was presented to BGF's regional director Gavin Petken, who serves as non-executive director of Victoria, at the ICAEW Corporate Finance Faculty’s annual reception in London. The award is based on methodology devised by the faculty with Cass Business School.
“In the 20th anniversary year of AIM, Victoria PLC is an example of the thriving companies quoted on that market. A UK manufacturing success story across all regions, it is now capitalised at more than £220 million and its strategy for the future is to build a £500m revenue international business – something we need more of to strengthen the UK economy.” David Petrie, head of Corporate Finance Faculty at ICAEW
