What was your first job?
Putting up badminton nets and five-a-side goals at a sports centre as a 14 year old – we rarely got much work done…

Give us one positive prediction for UK entrepreneurs.
Increasingly devolved powers should improve local decision making in areas like planning and investment, and may start to flow down into areas such as business rates. Reductions in corporation tax, support of R&D investment, and a buoyant funding market to support growth, also indicate it’s a good time for entrepreneurs.
What’s the best thing about your job?
How fluid it is – from one week to the next you are doing wildly different things, meeting lots of interesting people and businesses, and hopefully making a difference…

The Libertines – I even managed to see them again last week.
What skill would you most like to have?
A “live pause” button
What’s your greatest personal achievement?
Being a dad which has definitely changed my life for the better. A close second would be birdying the 575 yard 2nd at Celtic Manor….
