More than 30 people gathered at BGF’s third dinner dedicated to our investee company chief executives, non-executive chairman and other friends of BGF working in and around the healthcare sector. The evening reception and dinner was held at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
Speaking at the event was Chief Executive of the International Federation of Health Plans and former Conservative health minister Tom Sackville, who provided his thoughts on the road ahead for Britain’s health services following May’s General Election, and the possible implications for health care providers. Tom’s speech followed introductions by BGF’s Chief Executive Stephen Welton and investor Rory Pope.
The dinner was part of a series of events hosted by BGF that bring together small and mid-sized business owners with senior, experienced professionals from our Talent Network to discuss the challenges and opportunities for achieving growth in their sector.
BGF has so far backed seven companies in the healthcare sector including Springfield Healthcare, Abbey Pharma, Renal Services and more. Our investments are helping to support business growth through acquisitions, research and development and the opening of new facilities across the UK.
